Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This policy explains what information SysOpsBits (sysopsbits.com) collects when you visit, how it is used, which third parties are involved, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us.
Who runs this site
SysOpsBits is an independent site run by Matthew, a PMP-certified systems administrator. You can reach the site owner at sysopsbits@gmail.com.
Information we collect
SysOpsBits has no user accounts and no sign-up forms. We do not ask you for personal information to read the site. Information is collected in these ways:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors find them. Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location (city or country), browser, and device type. It uses cookies and similar technologies to do this.
- Advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance. See Google advertising below.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply.
- Purchases. Study guides are sold and delivered through Buy Me a Coffee. When you buy one, Buy Me a Coffee and its payment processor handle your payment details. We receive the information Buy Me a Coffee shares with creators, such as your name, email address, and what you bought. We never see your full card details.
- Preferences. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
Google advertising and cookies
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Where the law requires your consent before these cookies are used (for example, if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland), you are asked for it through a consent message provided by Google. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link that the message adds to the page.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics data is used only to see which content is useful and to improve the site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. You can block Google Analytics in any browser with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links, including links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set a cookie so it can credit the referral. We do not receive your personal information from the retailer; we only see aggregated sales reports. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
How we use information
- To run, secure, and improve the site and its content
- To show ads that pay for the site
- To reply to your messages
- To deliver and support study guides you buy
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some US state laws treat personalized advertising cookies as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out of that at any time through the Google Ads Settings link above. Your browser's Global Privacy Control signal is honored where Google supports it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to processing or to withdraw consent. To make a request about information we hold (such as your emails or purchase records), email sysopsbits@gmail.com. For information held by Google or Buy Me a Coffee, use their tools linked above or contact them directly.
Data retention
Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Analytics data is kept for the limited period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting.
Children
SysOpsBits is written for IT professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party sites
Links to other websites, including Microsoft Learn, Amazon, and Buy Me a Coffee, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.
